SIGNAL

THE PREMISE
In 2041, an abandoned North Atlantic oceanographic station begins transmitting again after seventeen years of silence.
A three-person investigation team is sent to NAOS-06, a remote research facility officially abandoned after a structural failure in 2007.
Inside, they discover that parts of the station are still powered — and that its deepest acoustic monitoring system is receiving a signal identical to one recorded seventeen years earlier.
There is only one problem.
The original signal was received before it was transmitted.
VISUAL DIRECTION

The world stays believable.
The information does not.
No neon. No holograms. No futuristic interfaces. No visible supernatural entity.
Every object must remain physically plausible.
NAOS-06 / FACILITY DESIGN

NAOS-06 was not built with B12.
It was built over it.
DESCENT INTO NAOS-06

At the bottom of an impossible structure is an ordinary place to listen.

THE SIGNAL

06:00:00 UTC
06:42:18 EARLY
Effect appeared before cause.
It was not a perfect echo.

THE DISCOVERY

No power.
No signal path.
Still receiving.
Each discovery removes one conventional explanation while introducing no visible supernatural element.
BELOW THE STATION

If the signal is traveling through the ocean,
why does it arrive everywhere at once?
THE ORIGINAL SURVEY

NAOS-06 was not built with B12.
It was built over it.
Every answer reveals an older question.
THE SEARCH

Nothing identifiable was found.
The vehicle leaves.The camera stays.
THE MATCH

Seventeen years apart.
The same signal.
23:17:42 UTC
THE ABORT

The chart recorder begins printing again.
17.4 HzTHE SIGNAL DID NOT.

THE LAST SIGNAL
The machine continues to listen.
PRODUCTION WORKFLOW

AI supported a directed visual process. Each image was assessed for architecture, materials, light, scale, continuity and narrative purpose.
Visually striking images were rejected when they broke the world’s rules.
